initramfs-tools has this weird quirk:

when you have a script that's supposed to be ran as part of init in initramfs, and initramfs-tools is about to include it in initramfs, it first runs it like:

./myscript prereqs

and it's supposed to print its dependencies and exit.

That's a weird way of specifying dependencies, but it has one advantage:
it checks your script's syntax BEFORE you try booting from the new initramfs

Hey all, here's the repo with the colored icons I showed yesterday for #Gimp or #Glimpse image editors.

codeberg.org/FreedCreative/Col

There are instructions for where to copy the icon folders to depending on which image editing application you're using.

Instructions are for Linux, but on other platforms you should be able to look in preferences and see where your icon themes are located, then copy the custom theme into that location.

Normally I don’t link to pages from Google, but the analytics of Google Fonts are quite impressive. In total, over 36 trillion fonts have been loaded from Google Fonts.
However, the system fonts are often perfectly adequate and do not look bad. Also on this blog only system fonts are used, which means that there is no need to download a font file first. This saves bandwidth, reduces the amount of data sent to Google (none is sent at all) and speeds up loading. jlelse.blog/links/2020/02/goog

Folks, something completely different: Can anyone recommend a goot development environment for the #Linux terminal or usable through #ssh that comes close to #sublimetext or #atom? Most specifically, I am looking for things such as project support, integration of #git / #subversion and a modestly pleasant out-of-the-box experience (don't want to have to spend too much time on crafting custom configurations). Does such a thing exist...? Any recommendations?
